President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

President King introduced the board members.   Said thanks  to Howard Ford, Carol Powell and Brenda Collins who are leaving the board.  Also, a special thanks to Dick Scheffler who filled in for Carol.

Tonight is our Christmas Party so this is going to be a short meeting with no speaker.

Secretary’s Report:  Abbreviated minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.

Sunshine Report -  cards  were sent to Jo Spinks and Karen Weber.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Sandee Gill said this balance does not include income or expenses for the Christmas Party.   These will be included in the December report.   As of December 11, 2012 we had a balance of $1,824.58

Christie thanked Ken and Nancy Griffin and Ken and JoAnn Hafke for hosting the Callaway Gardens trip.

Rally Coordinator’s Report - Carol Powell

Gary Adams - The Christmas Party is sold out.  Party will start promptly at 6:30 pm.

Pat Reed - Savannah Georgia for St. Patrick’s.  Trip is sold out.  Be sure to get on the wait list. 

John Pope - Cape Canaveral - Trip is full - again get on the wait list.  Will need money by next month’s meeting. $100.00 for the Kennedy Space Center and $26.00 each for the casino cruise.  Make checks out to John Pope.

Dave Larson - Old Homosassa -Not going to schedule a lot of activities.  You are on your own.  There will be a meeting at 2:30 pm  on  Wednesday to see how many are interested in a boat trip.

Len Holdsworth - Not taking any more reservation.  Will get in touch with the people who signed up to give them further instructions.

Iris Holzapfel - Crystal River.  Going to take reservations in January.  Has 24 sites at Crystal River Isles RV Resort. 

Christie King said that our new President will be Bob Edwards - new Rally Coordinator, John Pope and new Secretary, Karen Weber.

Christie introduced Bob Edwards to the club.  Said he joined the club  in 2005.  Looking forward to being our President.  Thanked Christie King for a great job.  Asked people to come forward and volunteer to make this a good year.

New Members.  Four new members were introduced.

50/50 drawing - 100% of money was returned.  One for $80 and two for $50.

NOVEMBER 9, 2012

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

President King introduced Walt McKechnie , chairperson of the nominating committee. Walt asked for any nominations from the floor. No one came forward. The following officers were elected for the 2013 term. President, Bob Edwards - Vice President, Christie King - Treasurer, Sandee Gill - Secretary, Karen Weber - Membership, Maxine Bryant - Rally Coordinator, John Pope.

Rally Coordinator’s Report - Dick Scheffler

The Callaway Gardens rally is sold out.

Gary Adams - The Christmas Party. Tickets are still available. See him today or call at 259-9336.

John Pope - A trip to Cape Canaveral April 5th through the 8th. Will see a space launch, visit Kennedy Space Center and go on a casino cruise.

John Pope - Sarasota to see the Lipizon Stallions. Will stay at the stables and see them train. Cost is $20.00 per day for dry camping. Dates are January 24-26.

Dave Larson - Old Homosassa - Would like to know what everyone is interested in doing. Will have dinner again at the Freezer.

Iris Holzapfel - Crystal River - January 16-19. Plan to Golf - out to dinner. Taking reservations in January.

Len Holdsworth - Caribbean Cruise - has three more cabins available. See him at the back of the room if you are interested.

Pat Reed - St Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah, GA. Needs to get more information. More next month.

This meeting was our annual potluck breakfast, therefore, no speaker.

New Members: Six new members were introduced.

OCTOBER 12, 2012

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Christie  recognized  people who contribute to the club.   Don Crosby for maintaining our web site.   Al Rhoton and Walt McKecknie for taking care of 50/50.  Ron Collins for taking care of the coffee. 

We contributed  $50.00 to Hospice in memory of Bruce Collins.  We received a nice thank you letter from them. 

Next month we will have our pot luck breakfast meeting.  The board will take care of  setting up.  You will be getting an E-mail telling you what to bring for food.

Sunshine Report - Joyce Armstrong sent a get well card to Gyongyike Narad.

Nominating committee this year is  - Walt McKecknie, Ron Collins and Tony Hill.  Walt gave the following report of candidates for offices:  Bob Edwards for President, Christie King for Vice President, Karen Weber for Secretary, John Pope for Rally Coordinator, Sandee Gill for Treasurer and Maxine Bryant for Membership.  Elections will take place next month.  If anyone is interested in any of the positions, please contact someone on the nominating committee.  Will also ask for nominations from the floor before the election.

Rally Coordinator’s Report - Dick Scheffler

Fred Bryant is hosting a trip to Blueberry Hill RV Resort in October.  Has three openings due to cancellations.  See Fred after the meeting if you are interested.

Kenny Griffin - Callaway Gardens in December.  Cost is $100.00 per rig for food plus the cost of the campground.     Deadline is today.

Tom Fox - Good Sam Rally at Daytona Beach Florida in November.  Still has openings.  If you have already signed up, Good Sam will be mailing you a parking sign  showing The Villages RV Club that you must display in your RV window. 

John Cormier -  Key West.  Has one opening.  Also asked if there was any interested in a trip to Sarasota to see the Lipizon Stallions.  They train three days a week and it is quite a show. 

Iris Holzapfel - Hosting a trip in 2013 to Crystal River.  More information to follow.

Len Holdsworth - February Cruise is booked.  Will be in touch with the people who signed up.

Pat  Reed  - Wanted to know if there was any interested in going to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah, GA.  Would go on Wednesday, the 14th and return on Sunday the 18th.  More information to follow.

Gary Adams - Annual Christmas Party is going to be on Friday, December 14th.  Still has tickets available.  Cost is $10.00 per person.  Going to have some great prizes and good entertainment.    He will stay ten minutes after the meeting today or you can call him at 259-1483.

Dave Larson - Going back to Old Homosassa in January.  Sign ups at the November meeting.  Al and Eve Sandy will be co-wagon masters.

Dick Scheffler asked wagon masters to try and coordinate their rally dates with the rally  coordinator.  This way, we might be able to spread out some of our trips.

Speaker was Tim Babiarz a local attorney in The Villages who specializes in accident cases.    Attorney Babiarz spoke about golf cart safety.  Should consider putting seat belts on your golf cart.  Cost about $150.00.  DUI - don’t get behind the wheel of your golf cart if you are drinking.  The fine is the same as in an automobile.  Street legal golf carts do not mean street safe. They go 25 miles am hour and vehicles on the main roads of The Villages are going 40 to 45 miles an hour.    Fourteen year old drivers - not a good idea. 

Golf cart insurance.  If it is a LSV, Gem Cart or Street Legal, you must register and insure it like an automobile.  If it is a golf cart, you can insure it on your homeowners policy, your auto policy or buy a separate golf cart policy.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2012

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Christie said that the club purchased the donuts for the meeting.

The LPGA Tournament in Prattville is for Monaco owners only this year. 

Christie reported that she and Irwin took their coach to Suncoast Designers to have a window repaired.  They were there at 5:30 in the evening.  Took the coach at 7:30 the next morning and were finished at 10:00.  She has brochures if anyone is interested.

Sunshine Report - Christie King gave the report.  Said Joyce Armstrong is at the meeting and doing well.  Christie sent cards to Joyce Armstrong, Carol McKechnie, Madge Scheffler, Maxine Bryant and Marion Collins.  The club sent a donation to Hospice in memory of Bruce Collins.

Christie said that an E-mail will be sent out when there is a death of one of our club members.

Rally Coordinator’s Report - Dick Scheffler

Fred Bryant is hosting a trip to Blueberry Hill RV Resort in October.  Has one space open.

John Cormier is co-hosting a trip to Key West - Fantasy Fest in October - 28 rigs are going.  There are no planned activities.

John Cormier - is going to host a trip to Jetty Park  in March.  Would like to go when there is a launch.  Sign ups will start in November.

Ken Hafke is co-hosting a trip to Callaway Gardens in November.  Cost is $100.00 per rig plus the cost of the campground.  Will have two breakfasts, pizza party, a bus trip and a buffet.  Need the $100.00 by the next meeting. 

Tom Fox is hosting a Good Sam Rally at Daytona Speedway in November.  There is dry camping as well as electric for an additional cost of $200.00   He has the sign up sheet at the back of the room for anyone who is interested.

Len Holdsworth - Doing a Southern Caribbean cruise in February.  Still has three spots open.  Today is the deadline.

Dave Larson - Going to do Old Homosassa again in January.  Would like to have someone to co-host this rally.  Sign ups next month.  Asked how many in the club were retired military.  Maybe we could get an outing at a military base.

Christmas Party - sign ups at next month’s meeting.

In April there will be a meeting at Crystal River.  Sign ups next month.

November will be our breakfast pot luck.

Walt McKechnie  is chairman of the nominating committee.  He reported we need a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Rally Coordinator.  He sent an E-mail to the membership in July and got some responses.  If you are interested in any of these positions, contact Walt.  He will present candidates next month and elections will take place in November.

Speaker was Mike Tucker.  Mike told us he is a camper and Good Sam member.

Said if there is an RV fire it is usually a total loss.  For your safety - get out of the motor home.  Check your fire extinguisher -  if it has a plastic head - get rid of it.  It should be an ABC extinguisher. 

Be sure your smoke detectors are working.  Use the test button before you go on a trip.  If you replace a battery in a smoke detector and it does not work, replace it.  They last 10 to 15 years.  The fire department will change your batteries in your detectors for you. 

If you even think you should call 911 - call.  The response is free and the sooner they get to you, the better.

JUNE 8, 2012  

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Christie King  mentioned that last month was our annual Joyce Armstrong Golf Tournament and everyone seemed to have a good time.  The club spend about  $280.00 for prizes and kicked in some money for the lunch.  The Smiths and Hoffays hosted Tarpon Springs and the Kings and Collins hosted Dunedin.  Christie said we all went to dinner at Ozona Blue Marina and when she left she tripped and fell.  Still has black and blue and sore spots.

Rally Coordinator’s Report - Dick Scheffler asked how many in the audience would be interested in hosting a meet.  Said we have packets for 25 to 30 trips that are already put together and he would be willing to help people get started.

John Cormier - Key West Fantasy Fest.  Has 30 rigs signed up.  If you are interested, call Holly at Sugarloaf KOA.

Gary Adams - Christmas Party - sign ups will start at the October meeting.  He has a hand out that explains what we are doing  this year.

Tom Fox - There will be a Good Sam Rally at Daytona Speedway in November.  Dates are 11-2 to11-5.  Will post it on the web page with more information to follow.

Len Holdsworth - Caribbean Cruise - 13 cabins are sold - would like to have 16.

Dave  from American Pro RV Shop was supposed to be our speaker today, but he just called to say he was too busy. 

Brett Howard from Alliance Coach is here and will speak about an upcoming LPGA Tournament.

Brett talked about our picnic and said it was by far the best event they have hosted at their facility.    Hopes we go there again next year.

Monaco RV/Navistar is hosting the LPGA Tournament in Prattville AL. September 20-23.    The rally will include  RV parking, tickets to the tournament, dinners, cocktail parties and entertainment.  Golf is included but you will need to pay for your golf cart.  More details will follow.  He understands that those who own a Monaco product will be the first ones allowed to sign up.  He is asking those who are interested in attending fill out a pre-registration form that he will submit to Monaco and our group will be the first on the list of non-Monaco  owners.    Irwin King and Ron Collins will be getting this trip together again this year.

Brett also said he is giving us five $100 gift  certificates for our  Christmas party and let him know if we need anything else.

One new member was introduced and they were given RV Club koozies.

MAY 11, 2012  

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Christie King mentioned that last month we had a wonderful picnic with  Bernie and Iris getting married.  Again, thanked the picnic committee for a super job. Also last month, Maxine and Fred did Hudson, Mike and Diane Maino did  Brunswick, Georgia, the Popes and Cormiers did Sarasota and Linda Jaworski  did St. Augustine.

We will not have any meetings in July and August.

Carol Powell is going to be away but Dick Scheffler has agreed to fill in for her.  Contact Dick if you have any  questions.

Rally Coordinator Report - Carol Powell stated that we have new member stickers that will be given to people who join the club.  They say “Hello, my name is _____”.  If you see someone with this sticker, please go up and say hello, welcome to the club.

Please input your information about any upcoming rallies as soon as you can.  You can add more information in the future.

On the web page, there is a site for vendors who have done work on member’s coaches.  Please check it out as members give their recommendations - or not.

Dick Scheffler will be filling in for Carol while she is away.  Please contact Dick or Carol if you have any questions.

We have had a very good year for rallies, but need more for the fall. 

Rally reports:

John Pope - Fantasy Fest - Key West.  Now have 40 units signed up.  Still taking sign ups.  Call Sugarloaf Key  for reservation if you  want to attend.  There is not going to be any  agenda for this trip.  Just enjoy the   Fantasy Fest.

Frank Smith - Tarpon Springs - Still have openings.  See us in the back if you wish to attend.

Christie King - Dunedin - Trip is full - When you get to the campground, go directly to your site.  Exit is 275  not Route 275.

Ken Griffin - Callaway Gardens - Supposed to be one of the top ten  Christmas light exhibits in the world.  More information to follow.

Len Holdsworth - Valentine Day Cruise - have 11 cabins sold - would like more.

Iris Holzapfel - Going to do a trip in April to Crystal River.  April 16-19.  Have reserved 24 sites.  This is going to be for solo campers.  Sign ups next year.  Co-wagon masters will be Bob and Bev  Deslauriers.

Gary Adams - Christmas Party - Date is December 14th.  It will be a Christmas Party - no dinner.  Suggest you go out to dinner  before the party.  There will be snacks at the tables.  Entertainment will be provided by Billy Bridger.  Party will start at 6:30 and end at 10:00. BYOB.  Tickets will go on sale at the October meet.   Cost will be $10.00 per person. After the October meet, you can call me to reserve your table.

Carol said she needs someone to co-wagon master the Callaway trip with Ken Griffin.

Howard Ford introduced Mark and Dave from Best Buy.   They talked about GPS systems and the advantages of the many different ones on the market.  They all come with preloaded maps of the United States - some with Canada.  One of the things you should look for is lifetime maps.  Cost ranges from $89.00 to $500.00.

APRIL 13, 2012

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

President King mentioned that this is her 70th birthday and that she is a 10 year cancer survivor, so every birthday is very special to her.  Also mentioned that her husband, Irwin, brought cupcakes for everyone.

Since the last meeting we had two outings.  One to Valdosta hosted by the Seamans and Rhotons and one to Pine Mountain, Ga.  hosted by the Schefflers and Sandys. 

MINUTES  - March minutes were read  and accepted.

TREASUTER’S REPORT  The financial report was presented by Sandee Gill and approved as follows:

SUNSHINE REPORT  Christie King reported that our sunshine person, Joyce Armstrong is in the hospital.  Information is sketchy since hospital staff will only speak to family members.  Get well cards were sent to Amdrea Creamer and Joyce Armstrong.

Today’s speaker is Tim  Donovan from Camping World  in Ocala.  He has been with Camping World for ten years.  Camping World bought out Suncoast RV and they offer sales, service and they now have a mini store.  Plan to have a full size store by the end of September.  If you see anything in their  catalog, they can have it delivered to  their store in about one week.   

RALLY COORDINATOR  REPORT  Carol Powell said there is some pancake mix and syrup from a previous rally that is available to anyone who wants to cook at their meeting.  See Carol or Jerry Seaman if you are interested.

When you host a rally, be sure to get a packet to Carol so she can have it on file.  This helps if someone else wants to hold a rally in the same general area.  Also, be sure to return the club banner to Carol so she can pass it on to the next wagon master.

Please obey the campground rules regarding dogs.  Keep your pets on a leash and keep them out of restricted areas. 

Not much going on this summer or fall.  Would like to see some trips on the schedule.

Fred Bryant - Hudson Dinner Theater.  Has had two cancellations.  Let him know if you know anyone who would like to attend.

Linda Jaworski  - St. Augustine trip is ready to go.  Please pick up your packets.

Frank Smith - Tarpon Springs - There will be a $20.00 rally fee.  Camp fee is $17.50 per night.  Will have several meals out.  Also arranging a private sponge diving expo and a private tour of St. Nicholas Church.  Combined cost will be $7.00

Mark Hulbert - RV Picnic.   We have about 250 people attending and still have a couple of tickets available.  Picnic will begin at 1:00 pm.  Mark has a printed schedule if anyone is interested.  Also reminded people to bring their chairs and drinks. Brett Howard  talked about parking - park on the west side of the facility. 

Irwin King - Dunedin - Has three slots left.  First night will have hot dogs and hamburgers.  Going on  a sunset dinner cruise that will be $36.50 per person.  The last night we will go to Ozona Blue Restaurant for dinner.

John Cormier - Sarasota packets are ready. 

John Cormier - Key West Fantasy Fest - The KOA  Campground is filling up fast.  If you have not called yet, please make your reservations now.  Do not call central reservation- call the  local campground number.

Mike Maino - Coastal GA/ Bike and Beaches - trip is full.  Ten people with bikes and 15 others. 

Len Holdsworth - 11 Night Southern Caribbean Cruise - Have four reservations so far and would like to get a total of eight.

Gary Adams - he is hosting a Safari group in The Villages.  They are parking at the Belk Store parking lot.  Stop by and say hello if you are in the area.

Christie King - Joyce Armstrong Golf Tournament - May 20th at Pimlico and Chruchill  golf courses.  Will have a boxed lunch provided by Too Jays.  Still have openings.  Can play golf and have lunch or just have lunch. 

Ten new members were introduced and give RV Club koozies.

MARCH 9, 2012

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Christie King thanked Ron Collins for making coffee for our meetings and Joe Humphrey for making name tags and tickets.

We now have host tags.  These will be worn by volunteers who will take new members and introduce them to the  club - sign ups, name tags, merchandise, etc.

Anyone who has not paid their membership dues for 2012 by the end of March will be dropped from the membership list.

Sunshine Report  Joyce Armstrong  sent a sympathy card to Bill Creekmur and get well cards to Sonya Davis, Bruce Collins, Paul Everett and Al Spinks.

Brett Howard from Alliance Coach was our speaker.  Said how happy they are to be  part of our annual picnic.  They plan to have coach display - someone on hand to take RV related questions - the RV store will be open.  Brett introduced key members of his staff and said he has two units in the parking lot and hopes everyone will take a minute to tour the RV’s.  Had drawings for gift certificates and hats. 

Rally Coordinators Report  Carol Powell reported we have upcoming trips May 22-24 to Dunedin.  Sign ups  will be in April.  Also in June a trip is planned for Dade City with sign ups in April.

Wanted to know if anyone would like to host a trip to Daytona Beach.  This is the Good Sam Rally.  See Carol if you are interested.

Also looking for hosts for a trip to Wakiva Falls in November.  All the work has been done - just need hosts and co-hosts. 

Asked if there was any interest in going on a trip to Gettysburg, Pa.  for the Civil War Anniversary in the summer of 2013.  She will present more information at a later date.

Also asked if there was any interest in attending a military family only out.  Again, will discuss at a later date.

Invited anyone interested in learning how to host a rally to come to an informal meeting at her house on March 22nd at 6:30 pm.

FMCA has a discount program with Michelin Tire Company.  Call your local dealer and ask if they participate.  Can save as much as $100.00 per tire.

Dick Scheffler -  Calloway Gardens - has two openings due to cancellations.

Mark Hulbert - RV Picnic.  Has sold all 200 tickets, but is having more printed.  Contact him if you are interested in attending.  Bring your  own chairs and drinks.  Any crafters can contact Becky Hulbert if they wish to set up a table.

Fred  Bryant - Hudson Dinner Theater -   Rally is full.  See Fred to pick up your packet.

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.  President King introduced the staff of Mulberry Recreation Center and thanked them for all they do for our club.  She then presented them with a box of chocolates.

Christie thanked the picnic committee- Mark and Becky Hulbert, Jim and Claudia Basener, Dick and Madge Scheffler, Jo Spinks, and Bill and Barb Fabeck.    Tickets are on sale at the back of the room.

Since the last meeting we had trips to Manatee Springs, Homasassa and the FMCA Rally at Brooksville.

We will have sign ups at the next meeting for the Joyce Armstrong Golf Outing.   Will be May 20th with sandwiches to follow.

Secretary’s Report   Abbreviated minutes for the January 13, 2012 meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’ Report  The financial report was presented by Sandee Gill and approved as follows:

Sunshine Report   Joyce Armstrong sent a get well card to Barb Fluger.

Rally Coordinators Report   Carol Powell again introduced the Rally Coordinators Committee so people will become familiar with them and approach them if they have questions about how to hold a rally.  Also asked Dick and Madge Scheffler to stand up and be recognized since she neglected to introduce them last month.

Have a new feature at the back of the room called “Put in Gear”.  It is there to help people put on a rally.  There are road tested trips with packets and all the information anyone would need to do a rally.  Carol invited anyone who is interested in doing a rally to attend a seminar at her home on March 22nd.

Reminded wagon masters that if they want to post a trip on the web page, they must submit it through Carol, not directly to the web master.

Rally Masters came forward to report the status of their trips.  Linda Jarwoski, St. Augustine, April 23 to 27.  Dick Scheffler, Callaway Gardens, March 19 to 24.  Fred Bryant,   Hudson Dinner Theater, April 19 to 22.  John Cormier, Sarasota, April 22 to 26.  John Pope, Key West, October 24 to 28.  Mark Hulbert, RV Picnic April 15th - 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Alliance Motor Coach.   Will have three seminars - one on RV leaks, one on tires and one on Florida winterization.  Will have a scavenger hunt and music with Dick Steeves.  The RV store at Alliance will be open.   Oakwood  will be providing the food.  Have room for at least 200 members. You must bring your own chairs and BYOB.   Cost is $5.00 per person and tickets are available at the back of the room. Len Holdsworth is doing an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise next February.

GUEST SPEAKER  Howard Ford reported that our speaker for today from Pilot backed out yesterday. 

NEW MEMBERS   Seven new members were registered and received RV Club koozies.

50/50 DRAWIING  Three drawings for $40.00 each.

JANUARY 13, 2012  

President Christie King called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M. with a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.. President King introduced new board members for 2012. Mentioned that Vice President Howard Ford takes care of the Mulberry room set up and also helps solicit speakers for our meetings.

Recently had two trips to Lazy Days. One on New Years hosted by Claudia and Jim Basener and one hosted by the Hulberts and Edwards. This trip included tours of museums in Tampa.

Fantasy Tours set up a table in the back of the room. They have a new catalogue and will be happy to answer any questions you have about their RV tours.

Treasurer’s Report

Income of $947.00

Expenses of $273.97

Ending Balance of $3800.23

Christie King noted that we had a beginning balance last year of $997.17. Also noted that Al Rhoton and Paul Everett conducted an audit of our financial records for 2011 and everything looks OK.

Rally Coordinator Report: Carol Powell thanked the hosts of the December meets. Noted that our schedule is slim after the April meets. There are forms on the web site that give you a guideline on how to host a meet. If you have some ideas for a meet talk to one of the rally committee members and they will give you some guidance. Potential meeting to consider - Blue Grass Festival February 16,17,and 18. FMCA Southeast Area Rally - Feb 1st through Feb 5th. Eustis - Bay Theater Players. Thanks to Don Crosby for taking the time and effort to revise our Rally web page.

Maxine Bryant - Hudson Dinner Theatre - April 19-21. If you signed up - make your reservations with the campground.

Coastal Bike and Beach outing in Georgia. April 22-26. Still have some openings.

Guest Speaker Ed Hosegood, a professional truck driver. He has worked for Publix Supermarket for 30 years and has driven 1.8 million miles accident free. As a professional driver, he goes around the country talking about safe driving. Also goes to high schools and talks to teens before they get their licenses. Reminded us about the move-over law in Florida. If you come upon an emergency vehicle you need to move over to the passing lane. If that is not possible, you need to lower your speed to 20 miles below the posted speed limit. Brought a semi-truck to the lot and invited every to come out and sit in the driver’s seat to experience first hand the blind spots that truck drivers have to deal with.

New Members 5 new members were introduced.

50/50 Drawing Had three drawings - one for $30 - one of $25 and one for $20. Also had a drawing for two Lazy Days Gift Certificates that Claudia Basener brought back from the New Year’s trip.
