This month they will ship over 20,000 Holiday stockings which could triple postage. The club decided to pass a collection bottle and we raised $497 for Operation Shoebox. Volunteers are always needed on Mondays at Hibiscus. Over 200,000 bags have been shipped since the inception of Operation Shoebox. A Chinese Auction will be held on January 24th and they need donations for this event.

We had ten guests at our meeting.

Len Holdswoth mentioned Frank Boissey was the winner of golf at the Grand Lake rally. He also stressed the need for people to call the rally Wagon Master prior to the rally if there is a need to cancel. He mentioned he had four (4) "no shows" which creates a major problem for Wagon Masters. Due to these "no shows" and last minute cancellations, the park now requires a $25 payment per camper prior to any rally.

Linda Fiedler, Wagon Master, again stressed the need to call the rally wagon master prior to the rally if you need to cancel. There usually are people on the waiting list who would like to fill in if there are cancellations. You are taking up a spot that someone else might like to use. She called upon each rally wagon master to give their reports. She state to always put your name on a waiting list if you would like to attend a particular rally and please be committed to attending the rally. You should carry your personal calendar with you to make sure the date is clear on your calendar.

Eve Sandy, club historian, needs pictures for the scrapbook. She is looking for work!!!!!

Linda Fiedler stressed the need for more wagon masters. The club would like to hold two rallies per month. If everyone in the club would take their turn, you would only have to lead one rally every ten years. (The old 80/20 theory - 20% of the membership do 80% of the work!!!)

Joe Humphrey has nametags to be picked up. If you ordered a nametag, contact him.

Al again expressed the need for carrying your personal calendar with you when signing up for a rally and to put the date in your calendar immediately to block those dates.
